How it works
This isn’t a sales funnel. At four points, after the first call, after the surgeon’s assessment, after the quote and during the time to think, it’s expressly intended that you can say no. Without my tone changing.
1. Contact
Form, WhatsApp or Instagram. First name, what you’re considering, how you’d like to talk. No photos, no records yet. You get a personal message from me the same day.
2. Short call
Twenty minutes. I ask: why now? What do you expect? Health, smoking, weight, medication? Who knows, who’s coming with you? What’s your biggest fear? And I answer your questions. At the end I say one of three things: this fits; I’d wait; I’d advise against.
3. Photos, encrypted
Only now, and only what the surgeon needs for an assessment. Through an encrypted link, never WhatsApp, never Instagram. Nobody sees your photos except the surgeon and me.
4. The surgeon looks
He assesses the area: what’s possible, what isn’t, what fits your wishes, and what he’d recommend instead. Honestly, even if the answer isn’t the one you hoped for.
5. Video call
I come back to you and we go through the assessment on a video call. If you like, the surgeon joins, in English. Here, if you explicitly ask, you can also see real courses of healing. Not on the website, not by message: only in conversation, because that isn’t advertising, it’s information.
6. Quote
From the clinic, itemised by surgeon, anaesthetic, hospital stay, materials and aftercare, with a clear statement of what isn’t included. I go through it with you line by line.
7. Time to think
At least a few days. I don’t want an answer the same day. If you say no, that’s fine. If you say yes, we carry on.
8. Date and flights
I tell you which dates are possible and on which days other women from the group I guide are flying. That way you can travel together if you both want to. You book the flight yourself, the return on a flexible fare, because the surgeon clears it, not the calendar.
9. Deposit
The clinic takes a deposit. Beforehand you get in writing: the amount, the deadline, and what happens if you cancel, fall ill, or the pre-op assessment on site reaches a different conclusion. The deposit goes to the clinic, not to me.
10. Preparation at home
Blood tests, ECG, medication list. Stopping smoking. Compression garments. The practice or consultant at home who’ll see you if needed. Complications insurance and travel insurance that actually covers you. Companion and childcare. Your access to the companion app with checklist and countdown.
11. Stay and surgery
Airport pick-up, hotel, pre-op assessment, consent conversation with the surgeon in English, operation, hospital stay. The balance is paid to the clinic before surgery, as set out in the quote. The English-speaking clinic team looks after you on site; I remain your contact throughout and check in with you on day one and day three.
12. Flight home
Only once the surgeon clears you. Usually that is after about a week. Compression stockings, aisle seat, walk regularly. If the flight moves, I rebook it.
13. Aftercare
Check-ups with the clinic at two, four, twelve and twenty-four weeks. Stitches and simple checks at your practice at home. I remain your contact for six months, and I ring in week two, because that’s the week most women stop reporting.
What I don’t do
- I don’t diagnose and I don’t give medical advice, that’s solely the specialist’s job.
- I don’t accept photos or records through unsecured channels, and I take no money from you. Deposit and balance go to the clinic.
- I don’t push. No deadlines, no messages saying only one slot is left.
- I don’t promise a result.
What you get from me
- Honesty, even when it means wait, or leave it.
- A specialist surgeon whose patient I was, and whom I chose for that reason.
- A structure in which nothing gets forgotten, before, during and after the trip.
- Six months of availability after surgery.
Let’s talk it through, without pressure
Twenty minutes, no obligation. We start by working out whether surgery is the right step for you at all, and whether now is the right time.
